Amara Raja bags the Prestigious 9th CII National HR Excellence Award, 2019

Hyderabad, Telangana, 13th March, 2019: Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, the leader in industrial batteries and automotive batteries, received “The Prize” for the most coveted and prestigious 9th National HR Excellence Award 2019 – one of the highest levels identified in the award process. The “Prize” award level signifies demonstration of Excellence in development and management of Human Resources through continuous improvement – the leaders. Upholding its best practices, Amara Raja was bestowed with this prestigious award for adopting and institutionalizing the best HR Model that is scalable, assessable and accurate and imbibes the industry best practices as well.

CII-HR Excellence Model is based on the CII-Exim Bank Excellence Award encompassing all aspects of human resource management.  The model can be effectively used as a framework to position HR initiatives, measure current status, and identify gaps to stimulate solutions. Through this model, CII aims to help improve HR performance practices and capabilities by providing objective feedback for improvement while also facilitating communication and sharing of best practices and information within and among organizations.

The award was presented by Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group and Past President CII. Mr. Adi Godrej also addressed the confluence and shared his thoughts on HR excellence and the need of the hour.
