Tirupati, 21st November, 2018: Amara Raja today announced that the organization has successfully made it to the much reputed Arogya World Healthy Workplaces, 2018 – Platinum list. The Group demonstrated promising results over the last two years and met all the pre-determined criteria laid out by Arogya World.
Arogya World recognized seven companies in their Platinum list 2018, the highest level of its Healthy Workplace program, bringing the total in this category to 29 companies to date, with a workforce of approximately 750,000 employees. This is the 6th year of the powerful public health program wherein 15 companies were selected which were able to match upto Arogya’s key criteria and had completed a formal assessment and site visit. Amara Raja facilities– Karakambadi, Tirupati & Nunegundlapalli, Chittoor were part of the 15 selected companies.
The invitation only effort recognizes organisations for quantitatively tracing employee health, and grades them for leadership and commitment to employee health. The global health non-profit organization is renowned for their focus on chronic disease prevention in the workplace environment. The organisation handed over the award to the winning companies at the Arogya World’s annual Healthy Workplace Conference and Award event, on Nov 14th 2018 in Bangalore. The Award was received by Dr Ramadevi Gourineni- Managing Director, Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd and Amara Raja Industrial Services Pvt Ltd, Mr G Vijaya Naidu- President – Group CI, Quality & HSE and Dr Chandra Babu N- Medical Officer, Amara Raja Group.
